I came home from a run to find “Confection” by Erin Ivey, in my mailbox. So I ran upstairs, popped it in my itunes and now I am telling you about it…that’s how much I liked it. The recording gives you the feeling of a personal concert in your living room.
For all of you who are always looking for someone new to listen to, someone different than what you get on the radio – Check out Erin. She has a 5 song EP for order (limited quantity) and better than that she sounds great. There is a bit Mazzy Star or Devon Sproule in her voice, but at the end of the day she is 100% Erin.
Rumor has it she is working on a full length set of tunes for 2007, and these are some of the first recordings. Support Indie artists go buy her EP now: CONFECTION

I 100% agree - I have listened to the EP 4 times since I received it and have loved it each time! I am so excited for Erin, she is ridiculously talented and it won't be long before she gets snatched up - by a record producer that is...
i can't agree more. i'm an erin groupie and have been for years.
you know, i had never heard of erin ivey until a couple of days ago, and now she is everywhere! friends of mine who arent even connected are all telling me about this great EP, and now i stumbled upon this blog that has a whole entry devoted to her! what is going on? i need to jump on it (her) while she is still indie and cool. they all change once fame hits. also, i need a cd. should have it sent to work so i can jam in my office.
I too, confess that I am an Erin Ivey groupie. Her voice is sultry and original, and plus....she has an awesome personality, which in this case happens to be a high compliment. I just received my copy of COnfection today and I can't stop listening to it. Can I preorder the full 2007 cd?
I've recently met Erin..without a doubt, I find her the most interesting and emotion-provoking girl I have ever met. She is amazing...as a person and as a songwriter. And, to be honest, when I met her I had no idea she was such a big deal...but I'm really happy for her. She is sincere, beautiful, and talented...a rare cocktail. I will be sad to see her leave Peoria and she will be missed at Sullivans. Although I am from the area, I have never felt at home in Peoria. Wherever they make people like Erin would feel like home. I hope I make her Fall Fiasco.
